We are MaMu, “Marvelous Multilinguals” or “Maravillas Multilingües”,
a name in alignment with our belief that all students and teachers are brilliant.

Our Mission
MaMu is a mission-driven team of educators, technologists, and advocates dedicated to empowering multilingual and neurodiverse learners.
Our platform is co-designed with the students, families, and educators it serves, ensuring every feature reflects real needs and lived experiences. We equip educators and families with technology that simplifies support, removes barriers, and builds community.
Our tools foster feedback and advocacy, celebrate individuality, and ensure that every student can learn, grow, and thrive.
Our Vision
MaMu is more than a platform—it’s a support system connecting students, families, and teachers at one of the most underserved intersections in U.S. public education: multilingualism, neurodiversity, and migration.
We envision a future where educators lead connected, barrier-free learning ecosystems that unlock every learner’s potential to shine.
The Need
MaMu was born inside a Title I multilingual special education program where needs are high, tools are inadequate, and teachers are expected to do everything without systemic support.
-
Educators face overwhelming responsibilities without adequate tools—special educators spend up to 19 extra hours weekly adapting lessons, managing compliance, and supporting families. Each year, thousands leave the field, deepening the teacher shortage and leaving students without support.
-
Students who are English Language Learners (ELLs) or in Special Education (SPED) graduate at lower rates and often lack interventions that address the overlapping challenges they face. There are over 5.3 million ELLs in U.S. public schools, and 15% of all K-12 students receive special education services under IDEA, yet the number of qualified bilingual and SPED educators remains critically low.
-
Families—especially non-English-speaking families—struggle to navigate complex systems and secure consistent support, leaving many students without equitable access to learning.
By amplifying the voices of learners, families, and educators at the intersection of neurodiversity and multilingualism, our tools simplify complexity, foster advocacy, and spark brilliance in every learner.
